We love simple recipes that take 0 effort and have maximum taste. Especially when they include some kind of spiciness to it! Which is why we loved this recipe from Chef Bernie to warm up these colder winter days. This Lamb hotpot packs in a lot of flavour, heat and requires only 1 pan to make. Even the most basic chef can make this one happen. Be sure to add in a bit more of the recommended hot sauce amount to really spice it up!
315g diced lamb neck
1 medium sized carrot
1 red onion
1 large sweet potato
1 tin chopped tomatoes
1 heaped teaspoon stock powder
50–75 g Chef Bernie’s Smokey Hot Sauce
Sprig of herbs of your choice for garnish
1. Wash and prepare the vegetables by cutting into chunks.
2. Cut the lamb neck into 2 inch pieces and sear in a hot frying pan with olive oil until the lamb is just beginning to colour.
3. Put the lamb, vegetables and all other ingredients into a casserole dish, mix and cook for 2 hours at 180°C.
